One of my wife’s day lilies, Hemerocallis, after a rail. The objects at the left are then unopened flowers. Day lilies are so named because the flowers last only for a day. I’m told that the blossoms, which are about as large as my hand, are edible, although we have never tried them.
This was taken in June. I confess that I enhanced the contrast a little with The Gimp.
We are thankful that South Carolina got a normal amount of rainfall this year, and more. Thanks for looking.
