The other day while interviewing the team from "Get him to the Greek" I was looking up at the ridges surrounding the place and saw tiny figures scaling them. The next day, I headed back up there to go for a hike with dog. decluttr

Runyon Canyon is old and busted (smells like poop and is a catwalk). Griffith Park is new and shiny (and is deserted, save you and the red-tailed Hawks cruising the thermals looking for lunch).

So Dog and I went back up there today, and had a great time. We were on the hill side for about 2 1/2 hrs and stopped on the way back down to take this photo.

What a wonderful place, right in the middle of LA.

I think it’s the biggest recreational inner-city park in the lower 48 states too. It’s HUGE.

So much fun up there, and dog loves it like crazy. She even found a ball up there somehow.

Anyway – I was trying to get that "Runner’s World" look, but couldn’t seem to not make it blurry – even though my shutter speed was near 400th. Serves me right for shooting in overhead sunlight.

Apologies for the Day-Glow, I’m reading "Deep Survival" by Laurence Gonzales, and I’m a little jumpy about letting my guard down, even in a supposedly safe environment. It’s a bloody great book, by the way.
